after that fine '75 set on the Peak, this will keep that '70s mood goin'.

2 goodies we missed in yesterday's non-streamed '76 set: Walter Murphy's "Fifth of Beethoven" and Ted Nugent's "Free For All".

iirc, "Old Fashioned Love Song" is not one of his favorites.  But I always liked it.

1971 is about the time I really became conscious of songs on the radio (I was 7 going on 8 ).  My own kids are starting earlier (although with CD's not the radio), just this morning my 3 year old got in the car by himself, climbed into the front seat, and advanced the CD player to Track 13 (which he knew was his favorite song), and then commenced singing along at the top of his lungs with Ringo, "We all live in a Yellow Submarine".

BOS for me: "If You Really Love Me". One of my fave pre-"serious artist Stevie" singles.

VHM Ms. King. Despite what Woody Allen said, you can never have too much mellow.

usually, but today for some reason Carole King was starting to put me to sleep, however the James Gang is waking me back up again.

I saw her do this in '88, and she still had so much energy (she's the same age as my mom!).

Au contraire, mon ami: I adore "Old-Fashioned Love Song."  Another one I want to sing in karaoke someday if I can ever find it.

Indeed, I slept through this set.  I've had very few chances in recent months to get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, so I took advantage of this opp.  I'll be working on StarPolish reviews this afternoon and then maybe going to a museum or something.  I think I want to live unencumbered for a few days before resuming the search for work.

A fine idea.  I did that for, um, several years after ABC.  Don't go quite THAT long if you can help it
