It occurs to me that today is 10/10, when KFOG in years past would do "10 10@10s for 10/10". Not today, I guess.

Just parked the car as Dave was saying that today's set looks to be "a really good set."

I assumed this Allman Bros cut "One Way Out" was from their Fillmore East live album when I first heard it.  I guess I don't really know Eat a Peach that much -- or Fillmore East for that matter, even though I  own the Fillmore East CD!

I bought it b/c I went through phase where I was really into live recordings.

so I ask you: What's your favorite live recording?

(ETA: this subject has prob come up in another thread, so I'll chk around when given time.  Or maybe I'll repost this question in a more appropriate forum discussion.)

He was doing his "Top 40 jock" voice this morning and cracking everyone up, and he just-so-happened to have audio handy of an Armed Forces Radio guy doing a similar voice... I'm guessing that era may be in store.

no fluff, as usual.    ;D

Tinka, did you or anyone else see Nick & Nora (besides Mike)?  I saw it on a long lunch hour Wed, and later that same night, when my 6 yr old asked me to read him a story, he insisted I read it to him and 'Fluffy'.  So I actually had to utter the words: "Where's Fluffy?"

Turns out 'Fluffy' was a rolled up blanket that he had put in bed with him...and he has never had a 'blanky' before.

TANC.

My #1 is Waiting For Columbus, no hesitation.  Filling out a top 5 or top 10 takes more neurons.

I was confused by one thing: near the end, the radio DJ gives a clue that indicates Fluffy are on 68th Street, but when they arrive at the concert, they're looking up at the Empire State Building... which would be impossible.  Did I miss something?

I realize I can't commit to one favorite right now (Roxy Music's "Viva" would be on some sort of list, for sure), so I'll have to take some time for this one...

it's a good but not great flick, very enjoyable if you liked any combination of Superbad, Juno, After Hours, or Go.  And the answer to the question "Where's Fluffy" is a major plot device in the film.

I'd actually go with Love, The Forever Changes Concert, which came out about 5 years ago.  Arthur Lee and his then backing band doing the whole album in sequence.

Here's what I wrote about it for the All Music Guide a few years ago:
