And I still love the Peter Sellers hard right turn.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Bush, for a change of atmosphere?  Too bad Bush pere never taught Bush fils how to use big words like "tirelessly" and "catalyst."

But "situation no-win" is all too fitting this week.

But fils has all his own words, like nukyuler, misunderestimate and decider.

Mike, I just knew there was no way you could put the song title in your post, 'cuz then you'd be giving a BOS to Rush!

saw the trailer for Oliver Stone's new movie "W."  It may be a tragicomedy to many, but I think it's really a horror movie.

I have no idea what this "Bye Bye Route 66" song is, but there's no way it was on KFrOG ever before.

We are all of us slipping, having heard "When The Kingdom Calls" for the 4th time in exactly 24 months (10/06, 9/07, 1/08 & today), and none of us could ID it.

I saw the Golden P's twice back in the day (87?), and I couldn't ID it.  They've had so many diff lineups.  I saw two shows: In one, Carla Bley and Michael Stipe made appearances, I forget the other one, but my friend saw Airto Linsday appear w the group in yet another show.

9/25/08 – Thursday!  A quick trip to…1991!!!

1.  Simple Minds – See the Lights
2.  Jellyfish – Baby’s Comin’ Back
3.  U2 – Mysterious Ways
4.  Marc Cohn – 29 Ways
5.  Jesus Jones – Real, Real, Real
6.  John Mellencamp – Love & Happiness
7.  Golden Palominos – When the Kingdom Calls
8.  Dire Straits – Heavy Fuel
9.  Big Audio Dynamite II – Rush (BEST OF SET!!)
10. Devonsquare – Bye Bye Route 66

BONUS TRACK:   School of Fish – Three Strange Days

the Devonsquare was truly NTM -- another obscurity that KFOG wasn't playing at the time (I don't recall it on Live 105 either). Anyone remember hearing it on the radio in '91?

I'd never heard of it, or them, until now.
