The Peak, 09/03/08: It's 1993
« on: September 03, 2008, 07:14:58 AM »
BOS to Belly, feeding the tree.  Reminds me of the days when half the Modern Rock chart had female voices.  Now it's rare to see more than one or two a year there.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Jimmy Cliff's not-really-necessary-but-still-kinda-nice cover of "I Can See Clearly Now."  Gave him the record, I believe, for longest gap between Top 40 hits.

I arrive earlier than usual and get '93. But Brooce's "SOP" is still impressive.

Urge Overkill is likely a bustout.  Same with the Bowie - nice call; alas, I was out of the room and missed it.

Robert Plant    29 Palms
Soul Asylum    Runaway Train
Belly    Feed the Tree
Jimmy Cliff    I Can See Clearly Now
David Bowie    Jump They Say
Nirvana    All Apologies
Crowded House    Distant Sun
Bruce Springsteen    Streets Of Philadelphia
Spin Doctors    Jimmy Olsen's Blues
Urge Overkill    Positive Bleeding

"Tossed salads and scrambled eggs" indeed: I still can't believe Kelsey Grammer is a right-winger. What is it with recovering addicts/alkys and the GOP?

I think it's something to do with finding the Jesus.
