BXSOS Starbuck!
Did Dave say King Harvest??!!
Yep--and he said it twice!!!
I wonder how many other people are reacting the same way.  Many many, or are we the only collection of geeks cheeky enough to get all worked up about this?
Man, now that's gonna bother me ALL day!   ;)

Annalisa just loves those "Little House" clips -- maybe she had a thing for Melissa Gilbert...

I was driving and questioning the King Harvest wondering if I had my info screwed up. I kept saying Starbuck! Starbuck!

Did it read King Harvest when you c'n'p'd the list, and then you supplied the strikethroughs?  Because now on the webpage it reads Starbuck.

Exactly--it originally said King Harvest and the strikethru coding was mine.

So some other anal-retentive music geeks must have called the station to get them to fix it.  First time I have noted such an after-the-fact fix, and there have been so. many. "Intern errors" over the years...not least yesterday's bonus track by the Bengals.

And directly below, Dave mentions that he and some friends were planning a roadtrip to Portland to the Mark Lindsay Rock & Roll Cafe.

Coincidence?

BTW, didya know that Mark Lindsay made a record with Los Stratjackets, the LA surf-rock band? A cover of the old Roy Head song, "Treat Her Right". Stephen King mentioned it in his monthly EW column. "Lindsay sounds so good, you just gotta wonder where he's been all these years"

I had not heard about that--sounds very cool. Love the Straitjackets--when my wife worked for a booking agency here a few years back they were one of the band on their roster. Very nice guys--but not from LA, which makes them even nicer, in my book. They're Nashvillians.

I guess the wrestling masks made me assume they were Chicano guys from LA. Or maybe I'm confusing 'em with Manic Hispanic. I have 2 of their CDs -- the Xmas album and the one where they do a surf-instrumental version of "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic (if you didn't know any better, you'd swear it was written by the Ventures!).
