When I lived in Somerville, a Boston suburb, there was an Electric Avenue a few blocks from me.

he's become a guilty displeasure for me too -- I recognize the skill, but he's become one of the cliche artists of this particular year.  And I don't recall him getting any airplay (at least in NYC) until after he died.

TFF was actually a known commodity in the 'Burgh; "Change" got a smattering of play.  Though of course yes, it was EWTRTW that really broke them here.
