I was puzzling over that segue myself.

BOS to "Ball of Confusion."  And the band played on.

I tried to claim the Eve of Destruction tax deduction once.  It didn't fly.

After having heard Edwin Starr's "Stop the War -- NOW!" Sat morning, I heard the Tempts version of "War" that nite on KPOO.

Oh, how was that?  I knew it existed but have never heard it.

Meantime, BOS2 to the kinda-long version of "Make Me Smile."  I think I've heard at least 4 different edits of this.

Why is "She's Leaving Home" playing behind the Kent State murder footage?

VHM to "Father & Son."  "You're still young - that's your fault."

one for a "songs that referenced then-current events" set.

"Ohio"
"Eve of Destruction"
"Sign o' the Times"

Don't forget "For What It's Worth" - even if most people have no idea that there even *were* riots on Sunset, much less that the song was *not* written about Vietnam War protests.

"I Don't Like Mondays" also qualifies.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

--Carlos Santana, 2010
