One way to do this
« on: January 18, 2005, 10:10:53 PM »
On this level, you could choose to label the subject today's date, or the song that's playing.  The replies get nested down one layer.

Oh well, just play  with it, see how it works. Also, it's a lot easier to navigate if you register, so the message board knows which messages are new next time.  I can also disable direct access to email addresses, so people can send you email, but they don't know your address.

All good things in all good time.

oh yeah, lots of silly smilies and such.

as far as the return to the thread after a post, you can set that option in your profile, and can override it in the posting if you prefer to pop back to the top. ::)

I invite you all to play with the themes available in your profile.  There's about 3 choices, and you can override whatever I choose for the default anyway, but I'd like to set the default to whatever most of you like.  At the moment, I'm trying out the Babylon theme.

If you go to the profile section, and click on 'Look and layout preferences' there are check boxes you can check to kick you back to the thread you just posted in and also to turn off the warning about new posts since you last read the thread. That should smooth things out a good bit. Still exploring this otherwise--haven't got the theme thing sorted yet.
Let's get right to it.

Playing around, it's pretty cool.  But I don't see where to change the theme.  Fortunately, I good with most looks.

click on Profile, then Look and Layout Preferences, then click on the 'change' link to the right of Current Theme.

I won't have much time to play with features until the weekend.  Juggling several errands and correspondences while posting.

Meantime, Rod, who's your new avatar?  Looks a bit like Cousin Jethro.
