BOS4 PSBs -- one of the great debut singles, and the start of a brilliant career.
brilliance on display in the line "from Lake Geneva to the Finland Station", a reference which I doubt 5% of listeners caught (present company excluded of course).
Color me 95 - I have no idea what that line referred to.
one Vladimir Ilich Lenin, in exile in Sitzerland in 1917, was given a so-called "sealed train" by the German government to cross Germany & go back to Russia. The Krauts clearly hoped Lenin's return would create political unrest back in Russia, which would help to end the war on the Eastern front. Lenin arrived to a tumultuous reception at Finland Station, in Petrograd (later Leningrad, now St. Petersburg), and 6 months later Russia exited the war.
