Their stance is that it was a sung song that happened to have a rapped bridge.  I happen to consider "Rapture" the first #1 rap single.

I respect Jackson Browne's political commitment. But that doesn't mean his late '80s songs are, y'know, good.

This "Soldier of Plenty" is one of the better ones, though, and yet another bustout in this set.  Unheard of!

one Vladimir Ilich Lenin, in exile in Sitzerland in 1917, was given a so-called "sealed train" by the German government to cross Germany & go back to Russia.  The Krauts clearly hoped Lenin's return would create political unrest back in Russia, which would help to end the war on the Eastern front.  Lenin arrived to a tumultuous reception at Finland Station, in Petrograd (later Leningrad, now St. Petersburg), and 6 months later Russia exited the war.
