Better Than Ezra's "Good", another for the songs-that-mention-the 4th of July list.

Haha, I was just about to post that very statement.

HMs to that and Broooce's "Ghost of Tom Joad."  Ginger ain't afraid to run the emotional gamut.  Suggestions to replicate my own summer of '95:
Sophie B. Hawkins, "As I Lay Me Down"
Martin Page, "In the House of Stone and Light"
Michael Jackson, "You Are Not Alone"
Seal, "Kiss From a Rose" (released in '94, but a hit in '95)
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

the Summer of '95 was the hottest in SF in decades -- an inordinate amount of above-90-degree days. TLC's "Waterfalls" was the song of that summer for me.  Yikes, "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

VHM Foo Fighters. and another to Annie L's cover of "Take Me To The River".

And frink points if you can name the stars of Ned & Stacey.

I'd forgotten that live Rolling Stones-doing-"Like a Rolling Stone" thang. Didn't that rap version of the song by The Mystery Tramps come out in '95 too?

Sorry I missed it, I would've given it a BOS & a proxy BOS for POC too.

In the early weeks of American Idol this year, finalist Blake did this song & *none* of the judges knew what it was although they all liked his performance.  I actually had to give kudos to Ryan Seacrest for bailing them out.
