28 May 2007: a Classic '60s Soul Patrol!

Dave was either there live or voice-tracked, but he said "we're going to the vaults for this classic '60s SP with lots of surprises."

So far: Soul Bros Six, Howard Tate's "Stop", and "Rescue Me".  Woo Hoo!

Tuned in toward the end of the Howard Tate tune (OK, truth be told, I woke up at the end of the Howard Tate tune). And yeah, this has been a pretty great set. And short too--guessing this has to be tune #10 (Sam & Dave's Hold On, I'm Comin').
Let's get right to it.

Hoo Lawd! BOS the Fantastic Johnny C, "Boogaloo Down B'way".  But's it's really a 10-way tie.  Fabulous stuff.

Wish Dave'd be this "self-indulgent" more often!

God-DAMMITT!  The replay started at, like, 9:35. Computerized holiday schedules totally suck!

I was about to post that they seem to have forgotten about it, as I tuned in at 10:12, heard commercials & then the new America tune came on.  Instead it's over already!?  WTF!?

Heard most of the set this morning driving over the bridge into The City...very tasty...and Dave was definitely on duty all morning.

For some reason the intern didn't add this set to the list on KFOG.com, and it is *not* already in my Db.  Did anyone record it?  Makes me hope they don't go Mon-Fri on the marathon.

I was thinking about it, but the early start threw a spanner in the works for that. And I'm out of town this weekend, so afraid I can't be of any help then either.
Let's get right to it.

Argh.  Got up at 10:30 ET, in time for the end of "Ain't It Funky Now."  Mack nasty!  Can you play that thang?
