frankly, JWTWG are a bit of a guilty displeasure for me. Lyrically, this is standard "prog" ramblings about life death & eternity, albeit wedded to some tasty gee-tar.


Perhaps, but I'd take this over what they became a couple of years later in a heartbeat.

Just tuned back in to see if I could catch the bonus--it appears to be Hot Tuna's Water Song. Probably the only Tuna song we ever hear--and who's complaining? :)

She gave the choices (I'm blanking on the others) and the Foghead said "I was just thinking of Hot Tuna this morning --" and it sure sounded to me like he made an alternate HT suggestion but Annalisa cut that part out. "Sure, I can do some Hot Tuna for you..."

I thought he was going to suggest something entirely else, not just some different Tuna, but your interpretation makes sense too.  The other choices were Chris Izaak or Chuck Proffit.

Quicksilver had a great version of this.  That's the local one I'm more familiar with.  Does anyone remember that group called Man, that did a live album with John Cipollina?  They did this song on that album too.
