VHM "Back in the High Life" in its single incarnation, tho' obviously this was an '86 LP.

Ginger has a momentary lapse of reason and plays less-than-stellar Floyd. But she makes up for it with "Dear God" -- XTC BOS.

HM Floyd's One Slip (sounding good this am); BOS Dear God, the non-album B-side that became the hit.
Let's get right to it.

VHM Satriani, even tho' I've heard it a gazillion times.  Never heard it in '87, tho' -- first time I heard it was on KFOG in the '90s.

Ginger's trivia: I know the song that was later added was "Dear God" (to Skylarking) but I've no clue about the deleted song from a diff artist's LP.

of course! 10,000 Maniacs pulled "Peace Train" from In My Tribe after the Cat Man made his Salman Rushdie comments.
