Trivia: what's the connection between the first and second songs of the set?
Does no one care what the connection between the Elvis and Doobies tracks is? Or has that one been around the track a few times already?
I want to know!
(it's not Roy Bittan on keyboards, is it?)
Nope, not Roy Bittan.
John McFee was the pedal-steel player in Clover, the Marin County band that moved to London and backed EC on
My Aim is True--and he's featured prominently on Radio Sweetheart. McFee would later return to the States and join the Doobie Brothers, although not until after
Livin' On the Fault Line.
Clover would later morph into Huey Lewis and the News, featuring several members of that band including Huey hisself (although he's not on MAIT, iirc).
