This Bonnie Raitt song's opening sounded a LOT like Raydio's "Jack and Jill."

You mean Richard Butler?

Weirdest & most physiologically unlikely lyric of the set: "swallow all your tears my love".

The Furs are for me a real anomaly.  "The Ghost In You", as well-documnted on our boards over the years, is one of my most favorite songs of the decade, but considering the longevity of their career they failed to produce even one other song that I can get excited about.

Anyone else have any similar examples?  Just curious.

Yup, he is credited in the cast as 'Brad's friend'.

Several.  First that comes to mind is Grand Funk's "Bad Time."

You don't like "Closer to Home" that much?

Oh, not at all, I'm afraid.  Would get 2 stars on my iTunes if I owned it.  (1 is only for my worst-ofs, which would include at least one or two GFRs.)
