No more "...BEEF" in the outro promo announcement.

somebody call Clara Peller!

ETA: and no quiz/bonus track during Crock of Ages Week, either. So it's off to KPOO. If Judge is half as interesting today as he was Sat nite subbing for JJ, it's gonna be a good afternoon.

You didn't miss anything -- like the Bonus Track, BOS Replay is apparently MIA during Crock of Ages Week.

I get the impression KFOG Rock of Ages has replaced A-Z as the hype tool of choice, and they are indeed playing stuff they don't usually play -- I just heard Jackson Browne's "Walking Slow", I can't remember the last time I heard that.

But a better Big Rick story: when I turned on the radio, he was doing a traffic promo : "traffic sponsored by..." and the sponsor was Tom Stoppard's play Travesties at A.C.T.  Dunno if it was misspelled or if he just misread it but he said "traffic sponsored by ... Transvestites at A.C.T..."  ROTFL!

Dunno if I've ever said this here before, but the opening to "Take Me With U" always surprised and impresses me: that's a lot of thought and effort going into an almost unrelated opening to what is almost a throwaway album track (this was what, single no. 5?).  We do take Prince for granted.

But VHM to Style Council and BOS to HoJo, a song that had a *heavy* impact on my thinking, so much so that I wrote a philosophy paper that springboarded from it my freshman year of college.  "And maybe love is letting people be just what they want to be."

I listened to much of the replay while watching a slideshow of CD pics my brother just sent me of his son, Caden, who'll be 5 months old next week.  Wow, was "You're the Best Thing" a lovely soundtrack to that.  ("Hyperactive" being only slightly less so -- Caden's a curious one already.)
