Bongos - Numbers With Wings
Yes - Owner Of A Lonely Heart
Dexy's - Midnight Runners Come On Eileen
Talking Heads - This Must Be The Place
Rolling Stones - Undercover Of The Night
R.E.M. - Radio Free Europe
After the Fire - Der Kommissar
Neil Young - Wonderin'
Police - King Of Pain
Let's Active - Every Word Means No

except for the Yes and the ATF version of "Kommissar", an impressive set -- the Bongos (which I missed) and the Let's Active are bustouts for me.

Two more reasons you gotta get the Rhino compilation Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Hits of the 80's.  Do you listen to MP3's much Mike?  I could burn the whole thing for you, all 16 volumes.  The Bongos were big on KYYX in Seattle, one of many songs that are zeitgeisters for that year for me, but I didn't get into the Let's Active song until after the fact.
