Hey, here's the ONJ you were salivating for on Tuesday.

No amount of historical revisionism can redeem this!

Granted the movie it's from is just horrendous. But this is beautifully produced pop. Jon Farrar certainly knew how to surround her with sound.

Yeah, that's what I meant.
Let's get right to it.

Smooth like a piece of jellied pig fat in the back of my throat!

That's one of the most vivid similes I've ever come across.

Damn.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Can anyone tell me how Dave chooses which 10 songs he plays?? I know there are songs he plays during these sets that he never would play any other time (the Jackson tune for this set). I've heard songs that never would seen the light of day on KFOG (like why did he play New Kids on the Block one time for a 1989 set??).

The John Lennon song came from an album (well cassette) which was the first one I ever purchased in my life as a 12 year old. I'm not embarassed to admit I never heard of the Beatles prior to Lennon's death. I was one of those kids that people joked in regards to Paul McCartney ("You mean Paul McCartney was in band before Wings?!?!"). I liked the Double Fantasy album (half of it, even back then I thought Yoko Ono was awful).

Dave plays whateverthehell he wants, generally. Whatever moves him. He'll occasionally honor a request/suggestion but mostly he's resistant to such things, especially when framed as "how come you never play...?"  The idea is that 10@10 is beyond the scope of KFOG's format -- a snaposhot of the year in question.
