Wild Cherry in a mellow mood?  "1-2-3 Kind of Love," a song reminiscent of the '68 Rascals.  I'd've never guessed.

Well, CG's Dean hasn't played "Helen Wheels" yet, but here's the Stranglers, walking on the beaches, looking at the Peaches.

earlier we heard "In a Broken Dream", and now Rod the Mod reappears with "The Motown Song", which completely escaped my attention when it was a hit. Pandering to his target demo, to be sure, but rather sweet nonetheless.

Oh my! "Ride a White Swan"!

WLNG Nugget o' the Day: 1910 Fruitgum Co., "1-2-3 Red Light", my fave song of theirs and one you rarely hear.  Talking Heads used to do a live version of this in their early days.

CGSS fab as always, but Grandmaster Flash's great "White Lines" reminds me that Dave has never played this or "The Message". Freebase!

a relaxed pleasure to listen, without the sense of elevator music.  e.g.  a Putomayo daily track followed by ABB's Melissa, then NRPS Glendale Train!

the NRPS was a nice surprise; I owned that album on cassette back in the day.

KRSH is kinda like KPIG without the politics, tho' it doesn't sound especially "free-form" to me.
