And another for the Gaz-man: Number 9 Dream. Oh well, BOS4 or 5 from me. Didn't Ginger whip this one out last week too?

It's all working quite nicely. Love Rockford too.
Dreamy set.

Jose rears his ugly head again.

And it's Todd, as expected.

Good Foghead: he requested "Thunder Road"

Bad Foghead: he called it "stupid & juvenile"

Ah! böwakawa poussé, poussé

Best indecipherable foreign lyric of set.

Literally indecipherable: There is no translation of that in any known language.  And I prefer to think that John wasn't engaging in juvenile wordplay antics with "poussé."

Yeah, I'm gonna want to hear this on the replay, even if I'm lacking someone to sing "Miracles" to, or about.  :(

VHM Doobs, reaching higher on the chart with this one than Kim Weston's orig ever did.
Also notable for marking the entrance of Jeff "Skunk" Baxter to the Doobs.

6/13/2006 - Tuesday! Good times in...1975!!

1.  Sweet - Ballroom Blitz
2.  Roxy Music - Love is the Drug
3.  Doobie Brothers - Take Me in Your Arms (Rock Me a Little While)
4.  George Harrison - You
5.  Tavares - It Only Takes a Minute
6.  America - Sister Golden Hair
7.  Jefferson Starship - Miracles
8.  Todd Rundgren - Real Man (BEST OF SET!!)
9.  Mike Post - Theme From the Rockford Files
10.  John Lennon - #9 Dream

BONUS TRACK:  Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road

Catching the replay, I had missed most of the first half of the set on Tuesday with phone call interruptions.  F'rinstance, I woulda BOS'ed George if had heard it.

Considering what they had to choose from, the TODD-IS-GODD contingent should have its voting privileges rescinded.   :o

I gotta say I agree, and I vote for Todd pretty frequently myself. But with the riches that this set offered, I mean, c'mon, Toddheads--don't be so damn predictable and take a flyer on something different for a change. (For the record, the only vote I tendered to Dave was for the George Harrison tune, although I could have easily gone for the Starship, Roxy Music, or Lennon songs as well.)

Yesterday's 68 set was good, but this was the set of the week, imho.
Let's get right to it.
