VHM cheeze medley, esp. "Stumblin' In", which I'd LURVE to hear in it's entirety.
I hear a lot of hate for this song in my other circles. To fully enjoy it, must one be unfamiliar with Suzi Q's prior body of work? (I've never heard "Can the Can" et al, so I'm happy to treat her as a trash-singles artisan rather than an Important Feminist Rocker.)
Well, I AM familiar with her early-'70s stuff (got a bit of play on NYC FM despite going nowhere commercially in the US -- WNEW-FM was very attuned to what was happening on the UK charts). And I love both of her incarnations.
But I suspect that, to a Brit, "Can The Can", "Devil Gate Drive"
et al are considered just as cheezy/commercial as, say, Sweet's "Little Willy". American music geeks, on the other hand, can feel superior for liking something that failed to chart in the US.
