From the thread I just deleted:

Apart from the Iggy Pop katrina, this has been remarkably eclectic, with my BOS going to Southside Johnny (whose idea were the big horn swells?) :

10:01 AM Metro Criminal World
10:07 AM Billy Joel The Stranger
10:12 AM Bob Marley & The Wailers Three Little Birds
10:15 AM Bob Welch Ebony Eyes
10:20 AM Iggy Pop Lust For Life
10:25 AM Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes Without Love

Gotta leave for work shortly. Will be a limited presence until after Memorial Day due to workloads.

An aside on SSJ&TAJ: I checked AMG to see if "Without Love" had charted.  Sadly, it hadn't.  Their only Hot 100 entries were 1979's "I'm So Anxious" and -- wtf? -- a 1986 cover of "Walk Away Renee" that peeked in at #98.  Damn has that song been covered by a wide range of musicians -- including, most recently, Linda Ronstadt, who's just issued her own take on it.

Sadly, they were never really appreciated outside the northeast corridor.  But their LPs were HUGE on NYC FM radio.  Bless Rob for remembering (I finally emailed him for the first time after that 1980 set and got a nice thank-you note).

BOS to SSJ and more BOS's to Joan Armatrading (Or "Joan Armstrong" as their just-played feature calls her -- guess all interns are dumb!) and "Rock Rock Rockaway Beach". Mark needs to work late again today to catch this one!

and another OMGWTF -- Garland Jeffreys, spot-the-vinyl scratches and all, with the great "Spanish Town" from GhostWriter, and unfortunately not on the import best-of I bought recently.

The LP was produced by Little Steven, iirc.
