I have to give it a VHM just for the words 'crate of papya'.

"Hold on to me"? No clue. anybody?

Steve Winwood, from his first solo album. The hit was Time is Running Out.
Let's get right to it.

That Carter clip about oil consumption and pricing--yikes, if only we had a leader that shared that opinion today.
Let's get right to it.

I think this was Scott McClellan's old theme song:  "...communication is the problem to the answer..."

"he hits my HAIH!" BOS SNF clip. This has been rather paint-by-numbers today, except for the I-didn't-recognize-it Winwood tune.

BOS2 "Damage is Done", little-heard Foreigner. A small blessing in this standard-issue set.

Jesse!  Nah, now Jerome.

In other words, Ditto.

OK, I'm off to Boston till Wednesday night: two friends are getting married, another's celebrating a birthday, and yet another is prepping to move to Cleveland this month.  Change is indeed afoot.  And as of Saturday night, I'm an uncle, as we welcome my brother's son Caden McCombs into this world.

Enjoy the week, I'll talk to y'all in a few days.

Just a generic re-ordering post, nothing to see here.
Let's get right to it.

reminds me of a joke i made here not long ago. i described some song as sounding like a group of bands in a "broadway street fight," and gaz said that would be the name of his new band. i immediately thought of west side story, and i came up with the line, "jerome, bring me my bat!"

ha-ha. i am so funny.

I missed the weekday set and reliving it now in the replay. Good set for me. It was a fun tme. Yeah, I liked Pablo Cruise. Boogie Nights. Manfred Mann was a big deal. Memories of coming home for dinner in a bit of an "incapacitated" state thinking no one would notice, and then I put my head down and snoozed at the table. Real slick. good times.
