VHM "Come on down to my boat", a great OHW.  So there were these 3 blind lesbians and a fisherman's daughter...

and FWIW, I could go without hearing "FWIW" for quite some time. perhaps THE most overused musical signifier of that era.

ETA:  In retrospect I'm surprised when the Blues Brothers did this that nobody was pointing out how totally they tried to do an exact remake, including using all the same backing musicians.

per a review on amazon:

"if you put the musical exit of "Sing this All Together (See What Happens)" on 45 rpm, you would be treated to the tune "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" done in a way only the Stones would dare to do..."  News to me!

I seem to recall that it was pointed out repeatedly at the time (usually by people who had no use for the remake).

The original version by the Rare Breed (titled "Come and Take a Ride in My Boat") is a must-hear.  Way more garage-y, and therefore better.

an odd line to be sure... a desperate attempt to find something to rhyme with "street", one assumes.

my favorite line/mondegreen: "I was educated/From good stock", which two years later suddenly sounded like "I was educated/At Woodstock" to a lot of people.
