The Peak's stream wouldn't load for me today.  Here's what I missed:

MONDAY APRIL 3 - 1979

   1. DOWN ON THE FARM - LITTLE FEAT
   2. BRING ON THE NIGHT - THE POLICE
   3. RENEDEZVOUS - GREG KIHN BAND
   4. ALL MY LOVE - LED ZEPPELIN
   5. DISCOVERING JAPAN - GRAHAM PARKER & THE RUMOUR
   6. HEY YOU - PINK FLOYD
   7. LOOK BACK IN ANGER - DAVID BOWIE
   8. LET'S GO - THE CARS
   9. GREEN SHIRT - ELVIS COSTELLO
  10. GONE HOLLYWOOD - SUPERTRAMP
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

very sorry to have missed the Graham Parker -- I'll say it again: one of the great LPs of the last 3 decades and one that oughta be a Morey staple.

I'm always sorry anytime I miss "Green Shirt".

When Elvis sings: 'Cause somewhere in the Quisling Clinic there's a shorthand typist taking seconds over minutes. and the snare goes rat tat tat tat it just gives me chills.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

I never thought about that lyric before.  What's a "shorthand typist"?

Someone who takes notes taken in shorthand and transcribes them (do secretaries even take shorthand any more?).
