didn't we hear this REM last time, and comment on its similarity to "Finest Work Song"?

I'd have loved Michael Stipe so much more if he'd titled that one "Second Finest Work Song."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

I knew there was something else not to like about this Jose guy--he votes for goddamn Crowded House!!!

No wonder Dave is warm for his form.

Well, I'd say that "Balloon Man" roughly equals "Alphabet St", breakout-wise.  Minus 10 points to Dave for repeating the REM.

See? no 7 pages today!

I was worried about saying that.

So Dave's "a Prince fan since 1979".  Unfortunately, he's only been playing post-"Raspberry Beret" Prince songs on 10@10 since, uh, January.

Lest I forget to say anything, I'm outta here for the weekend--off to SLO for hiking and r&r. Should be close enough to hear tomorrow's set (the long-absent 67?) but not posting. Will be back in these confines on Tuesday.
Let's get right to it.
