OMGWTFLOL! Jamestown Massacre, "Summer Sun" -- haven't heard this in 30 years. They must be from Chicago, it was a very minor hit nationally. Gaz'd like this one.

I've never heard of them before your note.  Is that where Anton Newcombe got the inspiration for "The Brian Jonestown Massacre"?  That'd make three cultural refs in a four-word title: Not bad.

Well, the Jamestown Massacre was an actual historical event, I do believe -- as was the Jonestown Massacre. If Mr. Newcombe had ever heard of the group I'd be surprised (unless he's from Chicago?).

BTW, I emailed Bob to compliment him on dredging up "Summer Sun", which got a smattering of airplay in NYC but was not a hit.  He says to tell eveyone "Hi!" and "Happy Holidays."

He also said when they included the song on one of the Drive's compilatons, the master tape no longer existed -- they had to track down a virgin copy of the 45.
