The Joni sounded particularly nice, even though the street outside my apartment is too snow-covered for anyone to think about kissing on it.

And HM to NWNC - I don't know how rich white kids ever managed to get through college until Bob Marley came along.

Is the "On Broadway" rep at the coda slyly alluding to the Drifters' song?

Ooh!  BOS, "Bad Time."  How I'd love to perform this live myself.

Of course. English white boys just love American Negro artifacts.

Here's yer GFR. It wouldn't be a 1975 good time without "Bad Time".

I didn't realize they had microwave ovens in 1975.  I'm fairly certain I never saw one until the mid '80s.

I remember when my Aunt and Uncle got one.  I couldn't have been more than 14 or 15 at the time, so that's '73 or '74.  I DO remember that nobody was any too sure that they were safe -- indeed, "don't watch the food cook!" was a very prevelent theory.

Also, don't sit too close to the tv.

We moved into a new house in '72, and one of the things my mom insisted on was an oven that had a microwave built in.  Mom's always been something of an early adopter--she was also the first person I knew with a Betamax, a home computer (an Apple 2+), and a digital camera. Of course, once she gets one of these new gadgets, it takes her FOREVER to upgrade to a newer model.
Let's get right to it.
