Wow, Aretha's cover of "Jumpin' Jack Flash"! Another example of '80s soul that you'd think Dave'd be right on top of.

Are you generally anti-Whoopie, or did you just not dig this one?  The movie got horrible reviews, I know, yet I always thought it was hilarious and I admit it's what got me interested in computers to the extent that I did.

Ah loves me some Whoopi, but it was just dumb commercial claptrap -- she did a lot of that after Color Purple, I don't begrudge her the paychecks, just wish her choice of material had been better.

If it made you laugh, then that's alright.  I found it insulted my intelligence repeatedly, and the laughs were cherry-picked.
