26 Oct 2015: the return of AL? Nope... an "encore" from 1974.

Here's hoping.  If so, she's back in time for a busy season, theme-set-wise:

Halloween Spook-tacular
Friday the 13th
Thanksgiving food set and/or Turkeys
Multiple Xmas holiday sets

1974 again -- "Jungle Boogie"

1/13/12 - Friday! Let's Boogie back to...1974!

 1. Kool & the Gang - Jungle Boogie
 2. Stevie Wonder - Boogie On Reggae Woman
(Movie: Young Frankenstein - "You men are all alike. 7 or 8 quick ones & you're off w/the boys to boast & brag. You better keep your mouth SHUT! Oh, I think I love him!"
 3. Joni Mitchell - Help Me
 4. Raspberries - Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)
(Ad: "Diamond Dogs", by Bowie, available on RCA records and tapes worldwide")
 5. David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
(TV: Columbo - "Dog" is about to get some training)
 6. Elton John - The Bitch Is Back
 7. Redbone - Come and Get Your Love
(News: Patty Hearst/SLA- Richard Threlkeld reporting R.I.P.)
 8. Steely Dan - Rikki Don't Lose That Number
(Movie: Blazing Saddles -Madeline Kahn/ Lili von Shtupp sings "I'm tired")
 9. Richard and Linda Thompson - I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight
(TV: The 6 Million Dollar Man- "What if he could be more than the man he was?")
10. Lou Reed - Intro/Sweet Jane (B.O.S!)

A nice excursion, even if we had a similar '74 encore recently

I shouldn't complain, but it seems someone has a fondness for 1974. (Could be lots worse.)
Let's get right to it.

It occurs to me that if she's been on unpaid leave during mom's illness, she may now be taking her official (paid) bereavement leave. And who could argue with that? Not sure what Cumulus gives employees but I'm betting it's not much.

just caught the fact that the first words of the Thompsons tune -- after Madeleine Khan's "I m tired" -- are in fact "I'm tired".

I hope she gets back in time to play a 1976 set on Tuesday the 10th of November, so that I can request (with help from y'all?) "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", since it will be the 40th anniversary of the actual event that day, and the song charted in '76.

I'm down for that-- altho' now that we're only getting one '70s set per week, it may be hard to get '76 on that day (and assume that she solicits requests for it).

I would not expect her to return so soon, nor to be prepared with fresh shows if she did.
