The Big Lebowski into RL Burnside - "It’s Bad You Know,” to 98 what The Beautiful People - “If 60s Were 90s” is to 94.

At least she didn’t play the Kenny Rogers song from 1968, although there’s still half the set left so I hope I’m not jinxing myself.

our last '98 visit in Feb was an encore from 2012:

Quote
03/21/12 - Wednesday! Going Intergalactic in... 1998 !!

 1. Beastie Boys - Intergalactic (B.O.S!)
 2. Barenaked Ladies - It's All Been Done
(Ad:All new iMac - Connecting to the Internet - (Jeff Goldblum) "There's no step 3!")
 3. Beck - Tropicalia
 4. Sheryl Crow - My Favorite Mistake
(Movie: The Wedding Singer - Robbie (Adam Sandler) melts down at 1st wedding gig after getting dumped at the altar)
 5. R.L. Burnside - It's Bad You Know
(Movie: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) is a respectable citizen - really!)
 6. Wes Cunningham - So It Goes
 7. Fastball - Out of My Head
(News: U.S. cruise missile attacks on a weapons plant in Sudan and bin Laden in Afghanistan)
 8. Propellerheads w/ Shirley Bassey - History Repeating
 9. Cherry Poppin' Daddies - Zoot Suit Riot
(Movie: There's Something About Mary - "Is that hair gel?")
10. The Offspring - Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)

and heeeere's the THIRD song from that set we've gotten today -- Sheryl 'ho.

I at least give her credit for a clever segue -- Clinton accepting blame for but exhorting congress to get beyond the Lewinski affair into My Favorite Mistake.
Let's get right to it.

Soul Coughing -- a band I never "got" -- but this ("Circles") might be a bustout, or at least a rarity.

Never heard this before. Ditto the movie clip. Or was that part of the song?

Credited to Public Enemy and Stephen Stills, entitled He Got Game.

It's become her thing -- That last one was really outta left field, even for AL. But the LNs were pretty egregious, for me.

Has PE ever appeared on 10@10 before? Certainly not more than a couple of times if they have at all.

ETA: A cursory search of this board tells me that in fact, they have not actually appeared before on 10@10. Lots of requests, and wish lists, but this according to what I can tell is their first appearance.

That's rather huge. BOS.

I suspect a lot of folks have requested "Fight the Power" from Do the Right Thing, which is probably better known, actually. (and also more political and a better record overall)
