and it's gonna be a quiet week on this board without Mike.  BOS to SW's "While You See a Chance," sledgehammer that it is for me.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

And the Gazzy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance of the '80s goes to another Stevie, Ms. Nicks for "Edge of 17."  BOS2, in other words.

As for that Styx, TMTOMH ... Guilty Pleasure or Filthy Pleasure?  I think I'm gonna have to go with "guilty."  Just can't sing "hard to believe such a calamity" with a straight face.

"Now stop feeling sorry for yourself, and incidentally, I love you": I'm surprised I don't see this Arthur line on more Christmas cards.  Could go over weirdly well in neurotic cities (um, like NYC).

HM to Foreigner-Gone-Soft, "Waiting for a Girl Like You": inferior to "I Want to Know What Love Is," but still representative of the year.  Even more so if it segues into "Hearts" or anything by Air Supply, but I doubt we'll get those.
