I do not understand all the vitriol towards Eric Clapton. Certainly he hasn't maintained the high
level of quality evidenced in his early work across all the
decades of his career. However
that is a charge I would also level against Paul McCartney and Neil Young, to name but two.
Clapton's participation in Cream and Blind Faith contributed to what I consider to be the best
rock ever, and he deserves some respect for that if nothing else.
