JB (the white one) on da Boulevard.

loved that album, played it to death.

1980 was the year i graduated HS & started college.  Just about everything from this year is a sledgehammer.

BOS REM, "All The Way To Reno".

I always liked this song & thought it would have been a bigger hit.  Haven't heard it in ages.  Love it when Michael & Mike get their harmonies going.

You gotta check this clip out.

My favorite Yogi-ism:  "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

Little known fact*:  Yogi grew up across the street from Joe Garagiola on Elizabeth Avenue in a neighborhood called 'The Hill', St. Louis' version of Little Italy.   That block, also home to Jack Buck early in his Cardinals broadcasting career, was later renamed "Hall of Fame Place".  Garagiola once said, "Not only was I not the best catcher in the Major Leagues, I wasn't even the best catcher on my street!"

*beyond St. Louis, that is.

Another BOS for Queen. Damn, Freddie was something else.

Great set w/BOS's all around.

Quick Freddie trivia:  Where was he born?

This is the third encore in 17 days from 1998, and the 2nd to feature His Dudeness & the Kenny Rogers & First Edition reprise.

Whose idea is that?

A lot of that Bangladeshi blood is on Nixon's & Kissinger's hands.  Pakistan (or West Pakistan if you prefer) was providing a significant amount of the behind the scenes diplomacy that eventually enabled their trip to China the following year.  Those two were determined that this would be their legacy, and as a qid pro quo they turned a blind eye to the attrocities being perpetrated in Bangladesh.

BOS #whatever, LSoHHB.

I enjoyed this.  I was in Taiwan in '95 (3rd of 4 years there), so a lot of this stuff I missed out on in real time.  We did get Better Than Ezra, but that was about the only song in this set that I think I actually heard in 1995.

Dionne Farris was kind of a sledgehammer for me later on in life.

This is NTM.  Had no idea the Foo Fighters covered "Baker Street".  Kinda digging it.
