The KFOG player says it's Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
It could have been worse...it could have been Zoot Suit Riot or Hell.
I hope this isn't the "one rarity" we get.
4. John Prine - Hello In There
Uh, "Illegal Smile"...
And the bustout? T.Rex's Bang A Gong! The Power Station cover has appeared
multiple times, but this is a first for the original, at least on a 10@10 set.
But I won't argue with giving it a LN designation, given it gets played at
least eleventy gazillion times a year on "classic" rock radio, plus there
is so much good material from 1971. You could program a couple of month's
worth of 1971 10@10s without ever repeating a single track.
Here's my 1987 set (which varies slightly from my original concept
http://10at10club.com/forum/index.php?topic=9383.msg162389#msg162389):
1. Peter Wolf - Come As You Are
2. Scritti Politti - Best Thing Ever
(Movie: The Princess Bride)
3. INXS - The Loved One
4. Siouxie And The Banshees - This Wheel's On Fire
(Commercial: Skin Bracer)
5. Echo & The Bunnymen - Bedbugs And Ballyhoo
6. Club Nouveau - Lean On Me
7. R.E.M. - Welcome To The Occupation
(News: Jackie Gleason dead)
8. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts - Light Of Day
(TV: Married... With Children)
9. Squeeze - Some Americans
10. Bryan Ferry - The Right Stuff

Have fun listening!
Nice! A larger percentage of tunes I remember from that era, and the ones I didn't all sounded good. Particular props for the REM, Joan Jett, and Bryan Ferry tunes--oh, and Peter Wolf, too. The only negative comment is that the Club Nouveau tune sounds really dated by now. Another excellent job researching pulling soundbites, too.
So when can we get you to repost that '65 set you did a week or two back? I missed it on the first go-round. Ditto for the '96, iirc.
Renee's clue: the year George harrison gets in trouble for plagiarizing "He's So Fine". Well, he was sued in '71.
worth noting, perhaps: we haven't had a '60s set in 3 weeks. Tho' I guess 1970 counts towards '60s by DC's reckoning.
