KISS MAH GRITS!

(that wasn't directed at anyone, of course. I just wanted to add something to the conversation and Alice was a fave TV show of my early teen years).

Carry on!

Oh, man! You know what grammatical/spelling thingy I hate?

Your & you're. So many people just use 'your' when they should use 'you're'. Makes me nuts.

Well, nuts-ER.

But then again- I'm a hyphen junkie.

The Elvis cover of this is sweet, too. It's featured in that movie of one of his Vegas concerts. Elvis forgets the lyrics halfway through and simply walks to the back of the stage (still in full view of the audience), pulls out his notes (a folded piece of paper), reads it over for a few secs and then jumps back into the song.

European VW commercials RULE! Always tasteless.

(they have one where a cat's head gets cut off by an automatic sunroof. You don't actually see the decapitation but they artfully imply it).

From time to time we all come across wacky stuff on the 'net that we want to share.

Found this animated gif while trolling around at FameTracker. It concerns a telephone conversation between 2 celebrity friends...

The summer between high school & college I briefly sorta dated this jock-girl (basketball) who would always sing John Cougar Melloncamp's "Jack & Diane" thusly:

... hold on to sixteen
As long as you caaan.

Make us swim in a ham...

and then she'd laugh uproarioulsy. I smiled weakly and pretended it was funny. It didn't last long.

Hey, she had great legs, OK?

Aw, man! Wil Wheaton I expect (Wil's making a career out of being an actor who almost-kinda made it and now is "just like you & me". He's also heavy involved in the local LA improv & comedy scene)...

But Lee? Oh, well. She's still lookin' good!

or the Wynona Riders (I knew one of the original members)

or Jonas Grumby (I once saw a flyer for a show they did with a band called Thurston Howel the Third)

or Ted Zepplin or Monkey Knife Fight (Simpsons joke)

have you seen the candy commercial (Starburst Chews?) that's a parody of the Lionel Ritchie "Hello" video? The guy makes a sculpture of the girl with fruit candies, while "Hello" plays in the background. High-larious.

LOL! I love that commercial- especially when he starts biting it.
