KPOO's Monday nite oldies show busts out the original 1967 "It May Be Winter Outside (But In My Heart It's Spring)" by Felice Taylor. One of the great Faux-town Supes soundalikes and of course a fabulous song. Found a fab clip of the cover by Love Unltd and will post it next week. And it's followed by Timi Yuro's equally thrilling "Whatsamatter, Baby?", covered in '79 by Ellen Foley.

JJ is slammin' and jammin' as usual -- Miss Millie Jackson sez "Ass Me Watchoo Want"!
OMFG: Jimmy "Bo" Horne doing "Clean-Up Man" (the answer to "Clean-Up Woman").
"keep yo' woman out da hands
of the clean-up man
by including her
in all yo' love plans"
and another answer tune: The Satin-Tones tell the Shirelles "I'll Love You Tomorrow and Always" .
Oh noes! Gladys got a "Letter Full of Tears".

treat o' the week: Radio de Sebb plays Sly's "Don't Call Me Nigger/Whitey"

OMFG! The Boardwalk plays either Tammi Terrell or Brenda Holloway doing the orig version of Stevie Wonder's "All I Do is Think About You" -- from 1966! I had no idea this existed; Stevie recorded it himself many years later and I thought it was new then.

1340 The Boardwalk comes up with some off-the-wall selections (guess you can do The Shag to a LOT of diff songs) but I truly haven't heard Wet Wet Wet's "Sweet Little Mystery" in ages upon ages.

Listening to Magic 98's "Saturday @ the '70s" for the first time in a while -- back-to-back gems with "NY Groove" followed by "RnR Lullabye"
