Bob did a nice "Fool" set on the Drive -- hope AL does the same.
Bonnie Raiit with a "fool" song I'm not recognizing.
ETA: thanks for the ID, Davefish!

Yes! Kinda fun intro, and a real TOTHK from Bonnie Raitt. "Fool's Game". Sounding a lot like Little Feat -- wonder if they are the backing band...
That slide sounds more like Lowell than Bonnie, but it could go either way.
ETA: No Little Feat on that track. It's from 2002's "Silver Lining".

inevitable but rockin': "Fool For the City". oh, foggit!

Hope she plays the Top's "Fool for Your Stockings".

BOS JJ, "Watching the Foolish Master Blaster Detectives in Love"
-
WOS one of my least favorite Stones songs.

Ultra cheeze. Totally silly maudlin junk.
I had an inspiration though -- Def Leppard's F-f-f-foolin!
Oops, sorry I edited your post instead of replying....
-
also inevitable: BOS2 the Beatles "Fool on the Hill" -- proxy of GazWOS.

Bob played that one earlier. Hoping for either the Lulu or Ree-Ree version of "Oh Me oh My (I'm a Fool For You Baby)"

uh-oh: the dreaded re-recording of the Chris Rea tune. I know the orig is hard-to-find, but c'mon... AL has made a habit of playing the "wrong" versions of things. (My only complaint about her, tho')

This version does sound odd to me; when was it re-recorded? When I think of the original, I think of it sounding like Player. I didn't know it was a Chris Rea song, though I don't think I knew who he was back then.

Stone Roses take the BOS so far.

he's re-recorded it a couple times for various "best-of" albums -- the original is long out-of-print and the rights to it are tied up somehow.

You're Fooling Yourself if you don't give Styx at least a HM!
-
You're fooling yourself if you think either that it is over, or that you'll escape hearing Styx today.
-
BOS3 and best cheeze of set Styx, another one Bob played on the Drive today.

yeah, always a BOS from me

What A Fool Believes is that we'd escape this set with the Doobs dropping in.
another BOS for a pleasant, mild cheese
update: last night was watching this doc on PBS on the USS United State passenger ship, which last sailed in 1969. There's a movement to get it back on the high seas. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter showed up at one point playing some solo guitar... weird.
-
proxy of cairo to Mr McDonald -- they said he was a fool, but he reignited the Doobs' careers.

It's the Gouda of "Fool"songs!
-
I bet we've never heard "Ship of Fools" on 10at10 before. Not this one, anyway.
-
well, we are in Deadhead territory, after all: proxy of geoff, "Ship of Fools".

and urth, I'm sure. So which one of their revolving keyboardists is on this track? Pigpen? Keith? Brent? Bruce? Elton?

ReRe! Er, Ree-Ree.
-
ReRe! Er, Ree-Ree.
Did I miss her?? I left to do something when the Dead came on -- that was song #10, did it "go to 11" today? WTF?

yes you did, AL played Chain Of Fools, natch.
On the back announce, AL said "I like to start with Bonnie Raitt and end with Aretha Franklin." So that's your proof that she goes both ways!

We heard the Elvis Costello cover of the Dead's Ship of Fools in the 2002 April Fools set. The Dead's own version isn't in the DB, but that's one I'd swear we heard at some point, too.

it's a total 1974 flashback for me, but not sure I've heard it in 74

was listening to the stream for about 20 mins -- had to bail when they played Tom Petty for the 2nd time in a little over 2 hours.
Meanwhile, Renee did her movie review, Clash of the Titans (she hated it), and mentioned that in 3-D IMAX "it cost me and Mike $36". WTF? I assumed these were free preview screenings she went to every week? Are times that hard that KFOG's not on the Warner Bros guest list?

Hrm, I heard that too. I too thought they were the free preview screenings, but on the other hand, I seem to recall those being at normal hours (7-8PM), and doesn't Renee have to go to bed at like 9PM to get up at 4AM and be all perky for the morning show?
At any rate, I can't imagine that she wouldn't get reimbursed. Would love to see the same kind of "outrage" over $15 parking for Kaboom. :-}
