Me, too!

But I think there should be a rule forbidding following Foreigner with Journey.

I have a really distinct memory of Head Games and this and selecting tracks on a jukebox in some SF restaurant.

Wow, for some inexplicable reason I woke up yesterday with "Driftwood" running through my brain.  BOS to Justin Hayward on one of his loveliest vocals.

Hey, I don't know this Moody Blues track.  Weird use of sax for them.

I think "All Mixed Up" worked well there.  One of Ric's better vocal efforts, I'd say.

My cousins' lost one of their cousins down there.  She was an SF social worker & had gone down to try to get some folks out of there.  Wrong place at the wrong time.

I was set to agree with the Princess, but surprised to find out it had appeared as much as it had.

always a chilling clip, especially the last part about how so many people thought Dan White could have someday been mayor.  Somewhere there's an alternate universe where that may have happened.  Can you imagine what SF would be like after?

Foreigner, Journey, ONJ, BJ, and now Whinyface Elliman.* We're definitely getting the cheesier side of '78 today.

*Thanks to the Princess, whenever I hear Yvonne Elliman's name, I will always think of her as Whinyface.

That earlier comment about Foreigner+Journey can just as easily apply to ONJ+Ellison.

I loved her as Mary Magdalene in JCS.  But the nickname "Whinyface" has forever imprinted my thoughts on her.

At least they weren't played back-to-back. That would be...hmmm....a sonic cavity?

I am gonna give "Indian Summer a BOS vote, and here's why:  It's in the Db 8 times, so not a rarity, but 2 of those times Dave has inexplicably stuck it in a "Summer's Here" theme set, and in fact today is the first time he's played it in the Fall.

That would have been the song most likely to get my vote too, if I'd been inclined to vote.

Btw, hope y'all are enjoying your Indian summer down there. It's unquestionably fall up here. Leaves turning, a chill in the air, and air cannons going off in the vineyards every 5 or 10 minutes (to scare off marauding birds). I'll be glad when they finish picking all the damn grapes.

Okay, this is weird.  I woke up rather early today (Sat) and turned on KFOG at about 7:20.  Heard the last 5 songs of this set.  Then came the Vertical Tasting (my 1st-grader now loves Doo Wah Diddy), then 1973, then 1989 (which Dave closed by saying, "Coming up, possibly the best set of the week"), and then 1984.  And then 1978 all over again, starting at around 10:40.  I had to sit down and review all the sets of the week, 'cause I thought I was losing my mind.  Nope, I'm not crazy.  They're playing 6 sets today.

Now, although they advertise the replay starting at 7, they often they don't start until closer to 7:20.  And as far as I can remember the whole thing always finishes after 11.  So having wrapped at 10:40 maybe they needed some filler.

Right now I'm hearing "Mr. Blue Sky" again, which was the first song I heard this morning.
