about time
Funny it seemed to me like we were just here, but it was October 23.
Nice TOTHC though--Pure and Easy, from Odds and Sods, and the source of my former sig line.
-
nice seg from Tricky Dick to Uncle Sam, PT Barnum and Charlie Chan.
-
Didn't we hear this Dead last go round?
-
Skin the Goat!
(what does Jerry have against Stevie Nicks?)

Didn't we hear this Dead last go round?
We heard it in a '74 set recently; whether it was one of Dave's, Ginger's or Bob's I dunno.
-
VHM Spiders and Snakes. Always fun.
-
I did like 'trinas 'n' snakes, back then.
-
BOS Boz, the sweet romancer! "Macon baby, you drove me crazy" -- I thought he was saying "makin' babies".
-
Ah, this is getting to me. Solid BOS to Slow Dancer.
-
and from a slow dancer/sweet romancer to a "Sugar Pie Guy"! BOS2 The Joneses, spota-da-bota-da-bota!
-
Dave's IM thingy says we've got another round of Spot the Vinyl going on--anyone noticed it yet? Maybe Boz?
-
They got a lotta nice girls-ah! "Y'all know what ahm talkin' about"

darlin', yer daughter's seen worse things...
BOS3 the glorious "Love's Theme", tho' I wish Dave'd play "Satin Soul" occasionally.

Streaking. Whadda fad!
Lovely instrumental

BOS4 Todd.

BOS4 Todd.
This is a nice one that I'm not familiar with. Sounds like a Carole King song.
-
Love Unlimited, BOS2.
And BOS3, Todd.
Dave's playing all these songs that are getting me kind of weepy. I'm back in the office, but it's pretty emotional here.
-
OMFG!!! Art Garfunkel, covering Tim Moore's lovely "2nd Avenue". Tim Moore, an obsure singer/songwriter, also wrote "Rock'n'Roll Love Letter", a turntable hit for him on NY FM radio that was later an actual Top 40 hit for the Bay City Rollers.

It's "La Grange" that really gets to me
"A how how how how!"

HAH! Thanks, Dave, I needed that.

I was driving for most of the set but I called in my vote for ZZ Top & told Dave, "I have to vote for it because last week I was in Texas on a business trip and was driving between Houston & Austin, so I took a small detour so that I could drive through the town of LaGrange. Then I called my brother Chris and said, 'Guess where I am. Here's a hint: nah-nah nah nah nah nah nah-NAH NAH'. And he replied, 'A how how how how.'"
Dave laughed heartily.

I can't believe how many times I wished I could hear this quintessential '74 song (yeah, I know, it's just special to me!) and now that I can't tune in, it gets played!
