yay!  Bonnie Pointer's cover of "Heaven Must've Sent You" -- I still have this 45; this (disco) version is on one side, the flip is a note-for-note rendition of the Elgins' original.

OMGWTF! BOS3 ELO, "Shine a Little Love", their disco-y-est confection and one of the few tracks of theirs that Dave rarely plays.

It's on Discovery, another one of the few albums my brother had like the aforementioned London Town.

BOS2, "Up the Junction," a former Dave fave from the late '90s that I doubt he's played in the past 2-3 years.  One of those rare story-songs that has no chorus whatsoever.

I've said this before, I HATED All That Jazz. A gaudy, overwrought, pretentious mess that the Academy (and of course Dave) loved.

BOS3 Squeeze!  "Up the Junction".  Difford & Tillbrook at their lyric-writing best.

LOL! That's two movies in one day, Mike.  Although I think I liked the clip more than the actual film.

Agreed on both counts, although I noticed yesterday that no one commented on the pointed segue from the Jerry Falwell clip into the Genesis tune.  Dave can at least be counted on for one of those.

Have any of you ever heard the Revolting Cocks cover of this?  Instead of "call my mother," he uses the quarter to "buy a rubber," and instead of "milk & coffee," they're out of K-Y jelly.  Good times.

The Stewart is, nonetheless, one for the time capsule, totally reflective of a cultural moment (or as Dave would say, "a very important record in its time...").  I've heard it too many times to VHM it, but I'd never WOS it either.

I know I always say this, but I'm sure he's played it. It's certainly a rarity, tho'.  I think there are very few Zep LP tracks that Dave has truly never played.

I think I'm with Mike this time--I'm pretty sure it's been played, just not within the parameters of Mark's DB.

Was glad to see that Squeeze got BOS--that's what I'd have voted for if I hadn't been in the car, trying to navigate 101 and the GGB.

One of this week's Village Voice reviews has a rather rude ELO dig.  He mentioned how the band wanted their "Rockaria!" to be read as a *rock* *aria*, but he instead chose to read it as "rock that has been violently shat out."
