Happy B-Day to your 7-year-old!  Guess maybe "Cracking Up" is appropriate, then.

I just can't come up with the proper breast feeding/wet nurse joke to go with your post and avatar, but there's got to be something...

BTW, your avatar REALLY creeps me out!

Me too. I'll change in a bit. They really are obnoxious. Did I mention it's a "before" picture of ME?

I have to give a VHM to Supertramp, which was an unusually deep cut for Dave to find on that album.

agreed. BOS to Chic, "My Forbidden Lover", not a huge hit but one of their finer singles.

WOS to that "forbidden lover" disco tediousness.  Pointless.

BOS to John and Stevie in the California town.

HM for John Stewart and Stevie for "Gold".  But WlyricOS for "My buddy Jim Bass, he's-a working pumping gas".  Silly.

For shame! Turn in your gay card!

as to "Gold", nice backing vox from Stevie & Lindsey. Mr Stewart, as many noted at the time, sounds a lot like Harry Chapin here.

Last-minute change b/c Bill Blass threatened to sue.

As for the tig bitties -- a running gag spawned by discussion of Scarlett Johannson's Golden Globes.

Ahh, I see.  Missed that one.  Is that in addition to discussing Drew Barrymore's assets?

No, it's just because I am fixated on Scarlett.

Oh to have been in Billy Bob's seat when they shot that scene in The Man Who Wasn't There.

After seeing Match Point I'm pretty much fixated on her too.  I need to see The Man Who Wasn't There.

BOS2 to "Re-Light My Fire," though the LOOONG version might not have been necessary.  I have the Lulu + Take That cover (#1 UK) in my collection here.

BOS3 "Relight My Fire" -- who's the vocalist? it's not Mr Hartman, is it? Doing a passable MJ imitation, whoever it is.

Didn't do a thing for me, but I like the contrast with the minimalist Joe Jackson.

BOS 1, "Relight My Fire," oddly enough, considering how I usually react to disco.  But it got me going.

BOS 2, Joe.

they say that looks don't count for much
yeah, so there goes your proof

BOS for "Moods for Moderns".  Pretty good groove for an angry young geek.
Good competition for BOS today.

I've attended a lot of music-biz trade shows and conferences, and one of my least favorite things about them is the inevitable use of "_____ Killed the _____ Star" as the title of a panel or talk.  Cliche, unclever, and annoying.

Trouser Press once had a famous cover headline, "Elvis Costello: The New Joe Jackson?"

BOS4 EC, Moods for moderns. Foreign fingers. Memory lingers.

Sadly, I my googling didn't come up with an adequate shot of Meatloaf from Fight Club...

pretty sure it's "if so" not "yeah so", but agreed.  Makes me think of Jeannie Goldman.

My brother Joel was a sophomore when I was a senior, and he started dating a girl in my class, Alice Honey.  Shortly thereafter one of his best friends, Kenny, started dating Jeannie, who was much cuter than Alice, and on whom I had a bit of a crush.  To make it worse Kenny lived across the alley from us & since each of our streets was one way in the same direction, you had to go up & down that alley a lot just to get in & out.  Which meant that I would occasionally look out my window & see Jeannie dropping off or picking up Kenny.  So I really related to this song.
