Oh boy.

Damn! ya beat me.
So I'll reiterate -- I predict the 2nd Midnight Oil appearance in as many days...
-
Gos-sip! God Spits! God Shit! Whatever...
For a song I barely remember hearing back then, this has become quite the '88 Katrina.
-
Oh boy.
He'll make it up to us tomorrow. I can feel it. Awfully early start today, too.

He could make it up to us today by playing some interesting stuff for a change.
Provisional BOS to Mr Plant.

Sure hope so.
Tuesday's 82 set was pretty early too--9:54 I think. But it also was pretty long, thanks to Telegraph Road.

Why do I mentally connect this song with 1994? Was there a remake then, or did it hit the charts again? Or did Dave pull another boner like yesterday with the Eurythmics?
-
i'm off to a meeting at 10:30 - if dave plays karen white, proxy for me. :)
so what song did the mcdonald's commercial rip off? ;)
-
A rip-off of Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me). Wonder if Reunion got any consideration for that. Can you copyright a meter?
-
Tomorrow people- where is your pants?
-
i don't think so. but you can copyright a melody...sort of. anyway, it's so obvious.
ack - tomorrow people. i hate this song.

No I swear I connect this song with things that happened in my life in 1994. I'm thinking it must have gotten a bit of airplay on the modern rock station I was listening to a lot that year.
Now THIS is worthy of at least a VHM--Copperhead Road.
-
BOS4: Steve Earle. Damn.
Best. '88. Set. Ever? :?

I believe he's on the road again. Not Copperhead Road, presumably.
I remember when this song came out, the country station in NYC played it on their nightly "new music" feature. First and last time Mr Earle was ever heard on that station

I'm thinking so. Another hm for Robert Cray, who I was very much into at the time. He opened for Clapton at Oakland, and was just awesome.

I think you'll have to settle for Mr Cray -- about as soulful as we'll get, which ain't sayin' much. Isn't it about time for Clapton to start doing covers of '80s Cray?

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten. As (relatively) good as this set's been, he didn't pick too bad of a week to be gone. When 1978 is starting to look like the set of the week....
Is this Thomas Dolby?
