It's only 2/1.  How do you fix a post?

BOS, "Make Me Smile."  My favorite Chicago song; something about the chord progressions gives me weird chills.  And the horn chart on the second verse is nothing short of a triumph.

P.S.  I've never heard this mix of "Make Me Smile."  I expected the ending about 17 seconds too soon.

VHM to the Partridge Family theme, one of the best examples of this difficult type of songcraft.  I mean, really: has any other theme song done such a good job of summarizing its show's content and aesthetics in a minute?

VHM Guess Who, "Share The Land".  Used to make a swell (thematic) segue with "Out in the Country".

Van the Man, "Caravan".  I remember seeing him in Central Park that summer at Wollman Rink. The Byrds were the opening act. Then Van came out and it started raining. We gave up and left about halfway through.

HM Mr Lightfoot. Still lovely, and it's erasing the memory of that godawful disco remake.

VHM to Gordo.  One of the better and most instantly hummable of the singer-songwriter product.

In today's episode of "WHAT IF":

WHAT IF Sly Stone had written an "Ohio"-like treatise on Jackson State's killings, and channeled his energies into political agitation instead of PCP immersion?
