Title: 18 Feb 2014: it's... 1973
Post by: RGMike on February 18, 2014, 09:54:50 AM
I suspect we're '90s-bound today.

Meanwhile, this damn "Sweater Weather" song, which KFOG discovered quite late, is nearly a year old at this point.

OMFG: 1973!  TOP "What is Hip?" is a fine TOTHK.

Great year, but just my luck -- 10:30 phone meeting today. Oh well, better than a 10am one.

And What is Hip? Is a great way to kick it off.

The list of players who've been in TOP is probably as long as your arm. They have 3 or 4 stalwarts still around from the early days, and the rest have rotated in and out over the years.

Agreed. Unfortunately, in my book, this song defines the expression "70's snooze alert".

TOTHK - Tower Of Power "What Is Hip?" - 1973 - For RGMike!

Possibly one of the best songs EVER.  And the dance video done to it by The Drew Carey Show is
just as excellent.
