That SNL bit was funny. And KT Turnstiles is fairly obvious.

there are folks in g'snipes saying they've never heard this song before. But it seems to come up in regular KFOG rotation fairly often.

I find it hard to believe, I would expect you to LN it. For me, it's just a particularly potent message song, even though I've heard it a million times.

I'm bored -- this set needs some fireworks. This IS a Chinese new year set. Who knew Horse songs could be so slow and plodding?
-
How about the Doors "Horse Latitudes?"

I think that was sarcasm. I will say LN to the Stones.

agreed on the LN, much as I love the song. I'm writing about Spring/Summer of '71 right now and this song has to make appearance at some point. AsI said on FB I'd love to hear the Osmonds, "Crazy Horses"

They're my WOS. Don't like that band. So repetitive.

BOS, Percy.
All in all, I would rather have been in Cleveland.
-
Wow, Renee and her "horsing around" comment...
ETA: What will win, place and show today? *groan* ::)
-
BOS, Percy.
appropriate since he's hung like, well, you know.
-
WOS Aerosmith.
I cringe every time I hear Tyler's voice. I didn't have that problem when I was younger, and this was one of their better tracks, but as I grew older my ears just can't handle it.

Nice.
I'm betting America, U2, and Elvis in an exacta.
(I only sort of know what an exacta is.)
-
Renee: 3-way tie for BOS between U2, the Rolling Stones, and Band Of Horses
-
Speaking of Percy, I was doing some research about 1971 music last nite and came across Percy, a British sex comedy from that year -- it's about the first penis transplant. And the Kinks did the soundtrack!

I think it's just called Beetlebaum.
Elvis gets my BOS even tho I didn't hear the set.
Would have like to hear the Byrds' Chestnut Mare, or maybe Michael Murphy's Wildfire. Always thought that the latter cribbed a bit of subject matter from the former.
-
or maybe Michael Murphy's Wildfire
ACK! WOS! ACK!
Never cared for it, myself. :o

It's been on 10@10 exactly once each year from 2010 through 2014.

I don't think Tyler's voice is usually so bad, and I think this is one of their worse tracks. It's like
they deliberately mixed the vocal to be grating.

That would have be a big BOS from me in any possible horse-themed set.
Other obvious possibilities include Tower of Power's Don't Change Horses (In the Middle of the
Stream) and George Harrison's Dark Horse. And how about something from Neil Young
and Crazy Horse (their early years, of course).
I have not thought very highly of the theme sets of late, and today's was no exception. As with
the others, there were too few high spots, and little overall cohesion -- a muddled musical mass.
