Marijuana (dischead?) into Neil Young "Walk On"
Wait... wha...? How did I get linked with this? That's not mine... somebody planted it there! I'm
gettin' framed!
Well, given my feelings about his popularity, there is a certain irony in a segue from a clip about
the potential damage from marijuana into a Neil Young song...
I'm also reminded of the time a friend and I drove to Ottawa from New England for a frisbee
tournament. I was completely on the wagon at the time, and I cautioned my companion not
to bring any illegal substances, as I didn't want any trouble in Canada. We crossed into
Quebec, and my long hair and the fact we were going to a frisbee tourney no doubt prompted
them to give us a thorough search. They found a roach in the jacket pocket of my friend; she
had forgotten that it was there. Of course they confiscated it -- and gave us a receipt for it!
It said (in French) something like "1/2 of a cigarette, containing a substance purported to be
marijuana." And no, I didn't try and reclaim it on our return. I still have the receipt somewhere
as a souvenir of that trip.
-
OMFG: a Joe Walsh rarity:"Help Me Thru the Night" -- a bustout? BOS5FRA certainly
Yes, today's bust-out. Sweet and Neil are the frequent fliers. Surprisingly, everything else is in the
low-spin category, including the Stones.
A pretty good set for 1974. My faves were Frank, the Dan, and Stevie.

Love this one. Did it get any airplay at the time? It doesn't now.

Maybe a little on FM radio, but not a lot. Of course, neither did anything else on On the Beach. It was a DM fave however, so it's had a good bit of 10@10 play.
