I'm guessing an '80s day. And for a change, I'm right!
-
For the hell of it, I'll guess that Renee will go cray-cray and debut 2004. ::)
-
I'll say she'll shock us all and go 1963.

I think I said this already, but I wonder if we'll get a 1964 set for the 50th anniv of Beatlemania.

TOTHK - Lou Gramm "Midnight Blue" - 1987

Renee's feeling feisty... :o

OMFG: Big Fingers gets his Lou Gramm!

TinkaCat would not be disappointed either, since he and Lou are homeboys.

VHM Bangles gettin' hazy.
-
Bangles "Hazy Shade Of Winter"

-
Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker/Jessica Hahn into Psychedelic Furs "Heartbreak Beat"

-
PsyFurs "Heartbreak Beat" is kinda LN -- feels like we heard this recently.
-
She's been digging up a lot of TOTHC-rarities lately.
-
Depeche Mode "Strangelove"

-
proxy of Greg Gory: DM "StrangeLove"
-
Domino's Pizza / New Coke / Commodore Amiga 500 / Velveeta / Nissan / Apple commercial medley into Jane's Addiction "Jane Says"

uber-uber-LN "Jane Says", which KFOG plays every damn day. I wish they'd kick tomorrow.

A happy, cheery little ditty about shooting heroin. Hey, it worked for Lou Reed.
-
I'd like to feel some rain in the wintertime, actually. LN3 The Alarm.
-
Hit number 6-6-6: The Alarm "Rain In The Summertime"
-
U2 "Red Hill Mining Town"
-
The Alarm, who were often jokingly referred to as "U3", are followed by U2. Can anything from this LP not be an LN?
-
Robbie Robertson "Somewhere Down The Crazy River"

"Did you hear that? It's another LN Moreytrina!" Robbie Robertson is down the river. And we're up the creek.
-
Robbie Robertson "Somewhere Down The Crazy River"
it does make a great My 3 Songs with Broooce's "4th of July Asbury Park" and Chuck Berry's "No Particular Place to Go"
-
"Did you hear that? It's another LN Moreytrina!" Robbie Robertson is down the river. And we're up the creek.
I'll take it over a couple of songs that get played 2-3 times a day in the regular rotation.
"You like it now, but you'll learn to love it later."
ETA: Admittedly, there's a lot of other material that could be mined on this album, but the fact it gets played at all is fine by me.

The Witches Of Eastwick Fatal Attraction into John Hiatt "Thing Called Love"

I'm rather enjoying this version--got a bit more balls than Bonnie's megaplatinum re-do. And this album eventually spawned Little Village, four or five years later.
-
George Harrison "When We Was Fab"
A deeper cut from Cloud Nine could get BOS...

And speaking of solo albums that spawned supergroups, I'd guess that the sessions for Cloud Nine played a part in the genesis of the Travelling Wilburys. No complaints with this one.
-
Renee has counting issues: BOS win to Robbie Robertson, (2nd) place - George Harrison, (3rd) show - The Alarm, with VHMs to Lou Gramm, Bangles, Depeche Mode and Jane's Addiction. (I think I got that down right...)

no list-keeping in 'snipeland today, so we'll have to wait for KFOG to post it.

I note that he sings "prideful thing" where Bonnie sang "Powerful thing"

At some point I'm going to compile a Top 10 GS LN comment list. The above would be included, along with:
"Not A Giants Fan...."
"Here in Detroit...."
"Lurve My 70's"
Wine-themed meme

Robbie Robertson "Somewhere Down The Crazy River"
BOS from me. I haven't heard it in a while. It's appeared a few times on 10@10, but not enough
to qualify as a FF. KFOG certainly played it a lot in 1987. I also really enjoy the Alarm track, which
is relatively new to me -- I've only heard it occasionally for the past dozen years or so. I found the
rest of today's set to be largely uninspired, with a moderate LNQ. Especially George Harrison, since
I've been listening to 103.7's Saturday Morning Beatles for the past few months.
