4 Non Blondes, What's Up?
A quartet of brunettes are the perfect Rx for a case of the Mondays, that's what's up!
-
I woke up to 4 Non-Talents on K-FOX this morning, so I bailed immediately upon hearing the intro.
-
Barenaked Ladies, If I Had $1000000
A cool mil would sure make this Monday go down a lot smoother, and that's the bare naked truth!
-
Sonia Dada, You Don't Treat Me No Good
The heck with grammar, it's Monday, mammas and dadas!
-
From what I can tell so far:
1) A song that was a hit in 93 (4NB)
2) An act that really hasn't aged well (BNL)
3) An AAA-only hit (SD)
-
Urgh, some pop reggae song whose lyrics were hard to hear, so I couldn't figure out the song.
Confusion, it must be . . . Monday!
(Yes, I'm going to keep making Monday jokes until someone else starts cataloguing the songs)

Pretty sure that was Sublime. Don't know the name of the song.
BOS for "Constant Craving".
ETA: Sublime song was "Badfish", but might as well be "Badsong".
-
K.D. Lang, Constant Craving
On the Q.T., I'm craving for this Monday and this too easy on the ears 10 at 10 to be over.
-
kd lang: An appropriate, if FF, choice for 92.
-
Smashing Pumpkins, Drown
Though I'm drowning in this Monday, I'm enjoying this smashing tune!

Right you are!

My Cousin Vinny clip -- two youts
There was also an H. Ross Perot clip earlier, but I can't remember which song it preceded.
-
Sugar, If I Can't Change Your Mind
I changed my mind about the Monday puns (this is the last one).

Pretty good tune. NTM.

R.E.M., Everybody Hurts
Everybody's ears hurt sometimes (couldn't resist, sorry).
-
Where's Capn Jack? I really think we're missing him this morning (no offense, Here's To Ya).

Hey man, all the artists and titles are there. One could forgo the editorial commentary.
-
An R.E.M. twin spin, sort of
10,000 Maniacs, (Don't Go Back to) Rockville

Perhaps I'm just a bit irritable because today's setlist, while at times nice, lacked a little of, how should I put this? Interesting songs.

Pretty unnecessary cover which sounds nearly identical to the original.
-
I still think this Thomas Dolby song sounds good. "I Love You Goodbye".
-
Ugh, couldn't identify the movie clip (yes, the Cap'n is missed).
Into Thomas Dolby, I Love You Goodbye
-
Hey, is this a repeat? There isn't a thread on the KFOG Facebook page for BOS votes.

Clip is from Melrose Place. (Looked it up.)
-
Well, Renee didn't mention any of the clips, but maybe there's another source for where the clips are placed. I'm pretty sure there were only three. Also, she didn't solicit BOS votes. Could KFOG be phasing that out? Everybody gets a trophy?

BOS. Always liked this, from the time I first heard it, in 1993.

Careful! What you've done once as a lark may come to be expected on a regular basis.

even us old folk like this song!

So, Renee's not there but this wan't a rerun? Sounds like KFOG took a certain 'snipe's comments to heard about that.

Oh, I'll gladly make bad puns anytime. I thought I was just indulging myself, I didn't think anyone else would actually dig it.

No, it was a rerun; dischead provided the set list a few posts back.

This song was estimated to make the #90-something's of the CHR Top 100 in early 1993 per Daniel Shywaoub's book from the R&R days.
I was Mad that I saw at the Swedish American Hall last week and he didn't play it. >:( He didn't play it either when I saw him 7 years ago in San Diego @ his first concert in 14 years, although apparently it has made it onto a couple of his other setlists.
-
so, is Nay-nay on vacay-cay all week?

I had that book! Now it's buried someplace. I need to look for it.

Does Anybody Really Know Where Naynay is This Week? Does Anybody Really Care?

Or Bill Pugh for that matter. Maybe they're prepping for an upcoming format change. :o

Sorry I wasn't around for this 1992 "classic". ;)
