Renee: "the top TV shows were Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley." so... '76? '77? '78? I'm guessing '76.
and I'm actually right for a change. TOTHLN: the Manfreds get revved up like a douchebag. or something.
-
TOTHK - Manfred Mann's Earth Band "Blinded By The Light" - 1976
-
oy: uber-LN2 "More Than a Feeling".
-
Boston "More Than A Feeling"
I have a feeling this will be a heavy LN set...
-
some rather pleasant Dead? A rarity, certainly. proxy of Geoff and VHM from me.
-
Grateful Dead Jerry Garcia "It Must Have Been The Roses"
-
Boz Scaggs "Lowdown"
-
LN3: "Lowdown". A deeper track from this LP woulda been an easy BOS.
-
BOS Bobby Short's "Charlie" commercial.
eeek: Rod lets his inhibitions run wild. LN4.
-
Bobby Short for Charlie into Rod Stewart "Tonight's The Night (Gonna Be Alright)"
-

Yeah, 4 of the first 5 have been very radio-friendly but not unpleasant. I don't consider myself a fan, but I always enjoy the Dead on 10@10.
-
Peter Tosh "Legalize It"
-
"Legalize it", mon! BOS2.
-
Steely Dan "The Fez"
-
don't EVER do it without the fez on. VHM the Dan.
-
Steely Dan "The Fez"
BOS for me and Davefish!!
-
Howard Hughes into Kansas "Carry On Wayward Sun"
-
Good lord: uber-LN5 Kansas. Nothing equals suspenders!
-
The Rolling Stones "Hand Of Fate"
-
BOS3 Stones, "Hand of Fate" -- thank gawd it wasn't "Fool to Cry" or I'd've gone postal. Rejoicing in g'snipe land.
-

Wow, 3 classic rock staples in one set. There should be a separate category of FF for those, given the astounding number of spins they've gotten these past 4 decades. Sure wish I'd have written one of them, though. Never would have had to work again.

Did Mick Taylor play on Black N Blue? Sure sounded like him there. BOS, by the way.
-
Match Game PM into Queen "You're My Best Friend"
-
BOS4 Match Game PM!! A classic! And a nice segue into the otherwise unnecessary "You're My Best Friend". (LN6!)

Queen makes 4 classic rock staples. Brian May must be so loaded.
-
Renee: BOS Rod Stewart; VHM Peter Tosh
-
The Garcia track is very rare on the radio, and I always love hearing The Fez. Somewhere, I've got a fruit crate that has a 'Fez' label on the side. Will try and listen tonight, or on soundcloud.

even though it is essentially the Grateful Dead, this version of "It Must Have Been The Roses" is off of a Garcia solo album
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ea/GarciaReflections.jpg)
One of the most beautiful songs ever by Robert Hunter IMHO.
BTW, this is pretty lame cover art on many levels. One of the being it shows a right hand with no middle finger missing!

Grateful Dead Jerry Garcia "It Must Have Been The Roses"
Today's snoozy rarity? I would have prefered one of the more uptempo tracks, like Might As Well
or They Love Each Other.
-
Steely Dan "The Fez"
BOS for me and Davefish!!
It's hard to criticize the Dan, but The Fez is certainly a FF, with nearly twenty plays
on 10@10. None of the other tracks on the album have appeared anywhere near as often.

TLEO would be a bustout, right?

Annie and her roses was a bust-out. The others would have been bust-outs as well.
